My latest production for Indiainteracts was the video interview with Vedanth Bharadwaj. And this one happens to be my most favourite. Vedanth is an independant music director and has composed music for a Telugu, Tamil and English movie. The English movie was Silicon Jungle, an IIT product.

I was finally able to find an anchor for the show. Seema, Sarah’s friend. Seema has come to India for a holiday and she was the one who put me on to Vedanth. Vedanth has his own studio where he composes music and the studio played a perfect host for the nearly hour long interview session. The edited interview is uploaded in three parts. Its a streaming video but this time I’ve uploaded the low resolution ones. Here they are
What made this my favourite video production is the time it took. It was the longest. Right from production to post production, it took hours. But at the end, the outcome was worth the effort.
Vedanth has planned a live concert this Saturday at Alliance Francaise. Its called Minstrels and Magic where he plans to sing some numbers from his album Mati Kahe. The songs of Mati Kahe can be heard on all the three parts of the video interview. Or you can buy the CD, its just 200 bucks. Or I can trade the MP3 if you can get me a dozen Breezer. I loved two songs Kinare lagav and Sumirana kara le, both are songs from the Bhakti movement. They are infact old wine in a new bottle. Not to forget, the concert is on 21st July at Alliance Francaise. Entry is free.
P.S. : Andrea Jeremiah will be there and she is also going to sing. So I don’t need a better reason to hang around at Alliance Francaise.

Hi there,
I live in New Delhi, an aspiring artisan coffee roaster. I seek the same approach everywhere. Music, pottery and woods are three other mediums where I keep seeking the artisans who caress their creations with love, sweat and joy.
I have been listening to Raghu Dixit’s music since the days when they had performed at Channel V for some competition. Since then I have been pursuing music scene in the South . Well, I have not been very successful. With You Tube and Blogs it seems that it would be possible again.
I have stumbled upon your lovely blog, which is going to be a permanent fixture to update myself with the life down there. You are doing a great job.
I wonder if you would read this comment and answer. Therefore I take this opportunity to beg for the MP3 of Vedanth Bahradwaj’s album. I have tried to look for his album in New Delhi, but I am not able to find it. I tried on Music Yogi, but could not find it there too. So, if you could either let me know the shop or else please accept my offer of an artisan crafted cup of coffee, full of spices, flowers, chocolates, cocoa and fruits notes in lieu of the prized MP3s.
Thanks,
Abhi
