Tagged ! It would have been great if it was this tag but it happens to be this tag by Jump. Thats okay !
10 things which I hate about my college. Well if I had been tagged with this when I joined MCC, I would have written a 100 things, but right now I am a part of the Madras Christian College and I owe a lot to it. My under grad days were spent at SRM, another cool institute. Three best years of my life was spent at SRM, playing, sighting, flirting, and also studying.
I’ll list 10 things about my college beginning with MCC …
1. No dress codes, what more can one ask for ? Torn jeans and rags are a part of the students here and if I go dressed in formals there will be some 100 eyes staring strangely at me.
2. Walk in anytime, walk out anytime ! But the sad part is if I miss one hour’s class I lose half a day’s attendance and if I miss two hours class I lose attendance for the whole day.
3. The campus. I bet no other college is as cool as MCC, with a 365 acre campus, its an absolutely awesome place to walk around, there will be deers running around, there is even a pond inside the campus.
4. The train journey to college. Three hours of my day is gone in traveling in train. Traveling in the local electric train is so much fun amid the crowd and chaos. It has to be experienced. Its more fun when you travel with friends and I ve got the best gang.
5. Okay, coming back to my Communicaton department and studies, true to the name of the department every staff is like a friend. Guys who came for fStop-24 frames would have seen that. They even encourage students to take up work while studying. The short stint which I had at The Economic Times as a photographer was because of my then HoD, Dr. Susan Sridhar.
… and then SRM
6. Bus journey. Like the train, 2 hours of my day was spent in the college bus. My college bus has seen all the fun in this world. Party, fights, dance, music, sprite and spirit. And nothing in this world is like traveling in the bus sitting beside a sexy chick with every starved guy staring at you.
7. Ragging. Ragging is not permitted in the campus and it all happens inside the college bus and the bus stop, but again that was so much fun. The best part was one day when I wore a detachable and my seniors removed the lower half and sent me to one horny senior chick in the bus on some errand. Fcuk the errand, the chick was bowled over my courage of walking up to the front row with just a t shirt and shorts. Man ! the staff in the bus did stare at me, but they never wanted to mess with the Vis Comm dept, because if they hit us, we kill them. Simple !
8. Revision exams. If you fail to write an exam five hundred rupees fine. If you write the exam and fail, no fine ! So we just walk in for the exam and surprisingly manage to clear it in first class too.
9. Chicks. Be it MCC or SRM, I can proudly say the hawtest chicks were in my college. I never felt the heat of summer or shivered in winter when these pretty gals were around.
10. Some of the best moments of my life and most of my best friends are from the college I studied. What else can be more good and bad about my college.
Its my final semester in college and I dont know if these cool moments and hawt chicks will cross my life again. But again life always has something out there bigger and better.
